I am a Lecturer in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric at Stanford University, where I teach writing courses in the Immersion in the Arts: Living in Culture (ITALIC) program. My writing has appeared in publications including Theatre Journal, The Radical History Review, Theatre Survey, PAJ, and The Brooklyn Rail. Originally from Flatbush, Brooklyn, I now live in San Francisco.

I received my Ph.D in theatre with a focus on the sociology of culture from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2013. My current book project, "Drop Dead: Crisis and Performance in 1970s New York City," looks at performance, spatial inequities, and community identity during the 1975 fiscal crisis in New York.

I received my MFA in Dramatic Writing from the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and my BA in Theatre and Women's Studies from Dartmouth College.
