Matthew Fienup teaches graduate econometrics and works for the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting at California Lutheran University. He specializes in applied econometric analysis and the economics of land use. He is currently working on his PhD at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California Santa Barbara. He holds a Masters Degree in Economics from UCSB.

Bill Watkins is a professor of economics at California Lutheran University and the Executive Director of the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting, which can be found at www.clucerf.org. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California Santa Barbara and has worked as an economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington D.C.

Matthew Fienup is the newest member of the economics team at California Lutheran University where he teaches graduate econometrics and works for the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (www.clucerf.org). Matthew specializes in applied econometric analysis and the economics of private land use. He is active in the issues surrounding groundwater management in Ventura County, where he has lived and worked since 1999.

Matthew is currently working on his PhD at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California Santa Barbara. He holds a Masters Degree in Economics from UCSB. Matthew’s other specialties include California natural history, technical rock climbing and photography. He graduated summa cum laude from the Brooks Institute of Photography and has spent more than 15 years working as a professional climbing guide.
